Statement of Purpose
   The purpose of the Berks County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) is to identify the long-term, strategic workforce development needs of the community; propose strategies to meet those needs; set priorities; build partnerships to align resources in support of those strategies; test specific initiatives to advance those ends; and measure and evaluate results.

   El propósito del Berks County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) es identificar las necesidades de largo plazo, estratégicas al desarrollo de la  fuerza laboral de la comunidad; proponer estrategias para satisfacer esas necesidades; fijar prioridades; construir asociaciones para alinear recursos en apoyo de esas estrategias; examinar las iniciativas específicas para avanzar esos fines; y medir y evaluar los resultados.
 
   
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

2012 Workforce Development Plan

The Berks County Workforce Investment Board is accepting public comment on the Workforce Development Plan for Berks County, Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Programs for the period 2012 - 2016.

The public comment period begins October 1, 2012 and runs through October 30, 2012. The plan may be viewed Monday - Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Berks County Workforce Investment Board, 501 Crescent Avenue, Reading, PA 19607 or by clicking the links below.
