Forensic Services Internships
The Berks County District Attorney’s Office, Berks County Detectives, offer limited unpaid part-time internships throughout the year. This program is designed for those students who are interested in the area of forensics. Interns are assigned to work closely with detectives of the Forensic Services Unit. The Forensic Services Unit consists of a Crime Scene Unit, Computer Forensics Unit, and an Crash Reconstruction Unit. In addition, interns will have the opportunity to watch court proceedings.
 
Applicants will be required to successfully complete a criminal background check, polygraph examination and interview. Due to the fact that successful applicants may work closely with narcotics detectives, a zero tolerance policy is in effect as it pertains to past participation in the drug trade.

Criminal Investigation Internships

The requirements are the same as mentioned above. This program is designed for those students who are interested in the area of criminal investigations.

We have very limited opportunities so I suggest anyone wanting to schedule for Summer / Fall 2013 or Winter 2014 do so at the very least six months in advance.
