Office Overview:
The District Attorney is the chief law enforcement officer in the county. The District Attorney is elected by the public every 4 years, and is considered a row officer.
The Berks County District Attorney's Office is comprised of 31 attorneys, 31 detectives, and 24 support personnel. This office works closely with over 40 local police departments, state and federal law enforcement to ensure the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are upheld and that our citizens are protected. Our goal is to keep Berks County safe and secure by effectively working with the entire law enforcement community.
I am honored each and every day to represent the citizens of this county.

In an effort to help reduce crime and further strengthen local community oriented policing efforts, the Berks County District Attorney’s Office recently went live at is a nationwide public mapping service that allows residents to analyze interactive maps of recent crime activity. Visitors to the site can generate reports, search by location and filter for different time periods as well as crime types. Keeping the public well informed has been proven effective as a crime fighting strategy.
