Members of Farm Community Meet with the Commissioners

Berks County Commissioners Mark Scott, chairman, center, Kevin Barnhardt, vice chairman, left, and Christian Leinbach, right, met with members of the farm community on June 10th to discuss the Clean and Green program and the agricultural values used in this policy tool that assists efforts to preserve farmland. The Berks County Pomona Grange passed a resolution in the spring to ask the Commissioners to review the methods used by the County Assessor and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and its impact on farms.
