Not only is this your chance to enjoy Pennsylvania crafted wines but an opportunity to explore various sights and discover new places for the enjoyment of a great meal.
Chocolate & Wine Pairing Weekend is a "self-guided tour" of the Berks County Wine Trail. Plan your delicious weekend by selecting which wineries you'd like to visit and plan your day accordingly. To help you plan, maps & directions are available on the wine trail's website. Additional directions are available on the individual websites for each participating winery.
Last year, the wine trail welcomed record crowds to event. The interest in chocolate and wine paired together seems to be generating ever-growing fascination with wine lovers, foodies, and those new to wine. In fact, this event is an easy way to start learning about wine and wine pairings. Chocolate is always irresistible and wine makes such an introduction an even sweeter experience.
This event will also be a fantastic opportunity to taste medal winning wines from the 2010 PA Farm Show. Berks County Wine Trail wineries collectively brought home over twenty medals this year including four Gold Medals and a Best in Show! The complete list of medal winning wines is listed on the wine trail's website.
In the weeks ahead, the complete pairing menu of chocolates and featured wines will be posted on the trail's website - but to give you a taste of what is to come:
