of the Berks County Agricultural Land Preservation Board
Tami Hildebrand, Executive Director, administers and promotes the Agricultural Conservation Easement (ACE) program while working closely with the nine-member Agricultural Land Preservation Board and the Berks County Board of Commissioners. Tami also provides the organizational leadership for the staff.
Susanne Sharadin, Assistant Director, assists in the operations and direction of the department, primarily working with landowners as they proceed through the easement program and addresses concerns that arise before and after the farms are protected. She is also responsible for special projects such as assisting townships or other interested parties in developing preservation programs, securing additional funding, and reviewing legislative changes.
Jennifer DeLong, ACE Program Coordinator, provides a supportive role in the administration of the Agricultural Conservation Easement (ACE) Program. She assists in the processing of selected farms from time of selection until settlement and tracks easement purchase data. She also provides receptionist and clerical support.
Kimberly Fies, ACE Technician, inspects the farms protected by agricultural conservation easements while providing technical assistance to farmers. She assists famers with minor modifications to conservation plans and provides information on the implemenation of best management practices. Kim also acts as a coordinator for conservation work between the Agricultural Land Preservation Board and other agencies.
