ADVISORY COUNCIL
The County Commissioners are the governing authority over the Office of Aging, and the Executive Director of the agency reports to them. In turn, the Executive Director and the County Commissioners receive input and recommendations on agency policies, procedures and operations from the Advisory Council. The Berks County Office of Aging Advisory Council conducts the annual public hearing, the four-year plan meeting, other special events, and they have a lead role in advocating on issues impacting older people.
