CONGREGATE MEALS
 

Congregate meals are the provision of nutritious meals in a group setting to eligible consumers.  Meals supported by Berks County Office of Aging funds are served at noon in most senior centers five days a week.  Some senior centers periodically provide special center-prepared meals, and some centers provide a breakfast program.  Except for meals prepared and served at La Casa de la Amistad, Kennedy Senior Center, and The Center at Spring Street in Boyertown, both congregate and home delivered meals are secured through a food service subcontract.
