The Berks County Career Link Center operates the Title V Senior Community Service Employment Program and assists low-income persons over age fifty-five to gain and retain paid employment.  It includes activities to promote employment of older workers, job development, employment counseling, job training, placement assistance and follow-up.  The program provides part-time employment for economically disadvantaged persons who are 55 years of age and over.  The goal of the program is for workers to learn skills in a job setting within a six month period, move out of the program, and become gainfully employed.
