It is against the law to bring any form of contraband into a correctional institution or detention center.  Act 334 of December 6, 1972 (18 Pa. C.S. ss5122.5123) provided for up to $10,000 in fines and five years imprisonment for anyone convicted of bringing contraband, such as liquor or drugs into a prison or for anyone convicted of providing an inmate with a weapon, tool, or implement of escape.  Please do not violate your visitation privilege by bringing unauthorized materials with you.  If you have any questions about what you may or may not bring, please ask immediately.
