CHILD PORNOGRAPHY ARREST

DEFENDANT:    Antonio Michael Biondo (19 Years Old)
                           300 block of W. Spring Street, Fleetwood, Pennsylvania 19522
 
CHARGES:   Sexual Abuse of Children related to the Dissemination and Possession of Child Pornography (F-2) & Criminal Use of Communication Facility (F-3)
 
DETAILS OF INCIDENT:
 
On April 4, 2019, the Berks County Detective’s Office received (6) six complaints from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (N.C.M.E.C.). The complaints all involved possessing and uploading digital files of suspected Child Pornography to “Skype.”
 
Berks County Detective viewed the shared digital files and concluded that these digital files contain Child Pornography.
 
On April 12, 2019, as a result of the investigation, detectives learned that the I.P. address was associated with the defendant’s home address.
 
On May 3, 2019, members of the Berks County Detectives Office executed a search warrant at the defendant’s residence. As a result, the detectives seized items of evidence related to the Child Pornography investigation.
 
The defendant, Antonio Michael Biondo, was present when the Berks County Detectives executed the search warrant.
 
A forensic examination was conducted on the physical evidence which was seized during the search warrant. The forensic examination yielded numerous digital images and videos of suspected Child Pornography.
 
On July 9, 2019, the Berks County Detectives Office filed criminal charges against the Biondo at Magisterial District Judge Gail Greth’s Office.
 
At approximately 11:00 A.M., the defendant surrendered to the Berks County Detectives at MDJ Gail Greth’s Office. He was accompanied by his attorney.
 
MDJ Greth proceeded with Preliminary Arraignment and set bail at $25,000 unsecured. The defendant was immediately released pending a Preliminary Hearing which will be scheduled for a later date.
 
As in every criminal case, the fact that an arrest has occurred or a complaint has been filed is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
