Waylon Kreider, age 40
On August 12, 2017, the Berks County Detectives initiated a child pornography investigation after receiving information from the Delaware County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), regarding images and inappropriate dialogue posted on the Facebook page of Waylon Kreider.
As a result of the investigation, on August 17, 2017, Berks County Detectives and Officers from the Muhlenberg Township Police Department served a search warrant on the defendant's residence, 624 Mount Laurel Avenue, Temple.
Computer and digital related items were seized from this residence. The items were forensically examined by the Berks County District Attorney's Computer Forensic Unit. Several digital files that included images and videos of child pornography were found on the seized items.
On February 14, 2018, Detectives obtained a warrant of arrest for the defendant from Magisterial District Judge Dean Patton for the charges of Dissemination of Photographs/Film of Child Sex Acts; Possession of Child Pornography; and Criminal Use of a Communications Facility. The defendant surrendered to detectives at approximately 2:30 p.m. The defendant was arraigned and bail was set at $15,000. He remains free on bail awaiting further court proceedings.
