Early Morning Drug Round-Up
On June 27, 2013, members of the Berks County District Attorney's Drug Task Force and the Pennsylvania State Police conducted an early morning drug round-up of fifteen defendants from Berks County. All fifteen defendants were wanted for various violations of the Controlled Substance Act of Pennsylvania, specifically delivery of controlled substances, which included cocaine, heroin, LSD and marijuana. During the investigation, undercover detectives purchased amounts of controlled substances with values ranging from $20 to $1,000.
The round-up was the culmination of a nine-month joint investigation between the District Attorney's Drug Task Force and the PA State Police for the aforementioned controlled substances being sold by the defendants in various locations throughout Berks County.
A team of detectives from the District Attorney's Drug Task Force participated in this early morning raid. The task force members were from the District Attorney's Narcotics Unit, the PA State Police, Reading Police Department, Berks County Sheriff's Department and the Exeter Police Department.

So far, a total of 9 defendants have been apprehended during the early morning round-up. An additional 3 defendants have been apprehended to this date. There are 4 defendants still out on the streets.
