Narcotics Arrest - Daniel R. Brooks

In October of 2013, narcotics detectives with the District Attorney's Drug Task Force Departments initiated a drug investigation at 1522 Haak Street, Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania.

During the investigation, detectives conducted controlled purchases of cocaine from the afore-mentioned address. The purchases were made from the defendant, Daniel Brooks. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the body of Daniel Brooks and his residence of 1522 Haak Street. The warrant was issued by Magisterial District Judge Thomas Gauby.

On January 31, 2014, at approximately 6:45 a.m., Berks County Drug Task Force Detectives along with Reading Police served the search warrant at 1522 Haak Street. As a result of the search, the following items were seized:

  • 25 grams of cocaine including 10 grams of crack cocaine (street value of $2,500.00)
  • 50 grams of marijuana (street value of $500.00)
  • 1 digital scale
  • 1 cellular telephone
  • $477.00 U.S. Currency which was believed to be proceeds from previous sales of controlled substances

Daniel Brooks was present at 1522 Haak Street and placed under arrest.

Brooks was transported to the Berks County Sheriff's Department Central Processing Center for processing and arraignment. Bail was set at $200,000.00. Brooks was committed to Berks County Jail.
