DEFENDANT:   Doris Mari Cintron (29 years of age)
                          Reading, Pennsylvania 19601
CHARGES:    Statutory Sexual Assault
                       Endangering Welfare of Children
                       Indecent Assault
On July 5, 2021, the Berks County Detective’s Office received a Childline Referral from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Human Services, relative to the sexual abuse of a victim who was identified as a fifteen-year-old male.
The suspect was his youth group leader, later identified as Doris Mari Cintron.
On July 15, 2021, a forensic interview was conducted at the Children’s Alliance Center. During this interview, the victim disclosed that he has been involved in a sexual relationship with Doris Mari Cintron.
The victim stated they started dating approximately six to seven months ago and that he would often go to her residence for bible study and talk about God.
The offenses occurred inside the defendant’s residence located in the 100 block of North 11th Street, Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
The Berks County Detectives through their investigation, determined that the defendant’s bible study was not affiliated with any church or spiritual organization.
On August 5, 2021, the Berks County Detective’s Office filed criminal charges against the defendant at Magisterial District Judge Kyley Scott’s Office.
M.D.J. Scott issued an arrest warrant for the defendant.
At approximately 1:15 P.M., members of the Berks County Detectives arrested the defendant at a residence located on S. 4th Street, in the City of Reading. She was immediately transported to the Central Processing Center where she was released into the custody of the Berks County Sheriff’s Department.
The defendant was fingerprinted and photographed. 
M.D.J. Kyley Scott presided over the video Preliminary Arraignment and she set bail at $75,000.00. The defendant posted bail and was immediately released pending a Preliminary Hearing which will be held at a later date.
As in every criminal case, the fact that an arrest occurred or a complaint has been filed is merely an accusation, and the defendant Doris Mari Cintron, is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
