A study was conducted in 2017 to determine food accessibility in Berks County, particularly for residents utilizing SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). However, the study expanded to map out food retailers, farmers' markets, farm stands, and CSAs (farms providing a "subscription" produce program). A presentation summarizing the study was made during the August 9, 2017 Planning Commission meeting, and supporting documents are listed below.
