Elections are fundamental to democracy. In Pennsylvania, we hold a Primary Election in the spring of each year, a General Election in the fall of every even numbered year and a Municipal Election in the fall of every odd numbered year. The results of these elections determine who leads us at every level of government from local voting precinct officials up to the President of the United States.
We would like to offer an opportunity to students to observe and participate first hand in the democratic process as well as provide a service to their community as a Clerk of Elections or a Machine Inspector in the General Election on November 4th, 2014. Training will be provided on the process and the equipment prior to the election. Direct supervision will be provided by the appointed or elected Judge of Election on Election Day.
