Half-Day History Camp

July 18th  Canal Life and Irish American History
Learn what life was like for families who lived and worked on the canals.  Why did so many Irish Immigrants come here and help to build the canals.  Learn how to create a family tree and find out what your story is. 
July 19th – Art and Games of the past.
Create your own petroglyph, and learn how to do pin striping on a wagon.  Try your hand at making a bean bag and playing old fashioned games.
July 20th – All about the farm.
Both animals and plants were important on the farm.  Learn about some of the many farm animals (chicken, sheep and cows) that were important to farms.  Fruits, vegetables and grains were also grown on farms.  Learn how these foods are stored, prepared and ground into cornmeal.
