Most people think of pollination as an example of cooperation between plants and animals, but even though plants and the animals that pollinate them may be completely dependent on each other, they have different goals. There are many and diverse strategies employed by both sides in the eons old relationship between flowers and the insects and other animals that visit them for sustenance. Mike Slater will present a photographic exploration of the diversity of relationships between pollinating animals, especially insects, and the plants they rely on. Saying “it’s complicated” is an understatement!
