The Gibraltar and neighboring hamlets were bustling with the manufacturing of iron and textile goods, taking advantage of the valuable canal and railroad running through the landscape. Yet, many folks found time for fishing and picnics along the Schuylkill, and music and dance at the local hotels. Marcia Houston will share stories of the people and the places that shaped this valley during this time period. (Including a bit more murder and mayhem!) FREE Program. Seating is limited. Must register to attend-call 610-374-8839.
