2010-2035 Long Range Transportation Plan

The Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) for Berks County documents the current conditions of the existing transportation system within the county, describes the trends that will impact that system through 2040, and develops a schedule of improvements to mitigate the impacts to those trends to keep the system functioning effectively and efficiently.

The LRTP lists goals and objectives for Berks County's transportation system and identifies the improvements, studies and strategies that must be implemented to reach those goals and objectives. This Plan has been developed in the context of the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21); the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 (CAAA); PennDOT's Mobility Plan; and the Berks County Comprehensive Plan. The LRTP serves as the required Transportation element of the Berks County Comprehensive Plan.
