Deputy Matson graduated from Oley Valley High School in 2005. She obtained a bachelor's degree in criminal justice in 2009 from Alvernia University. While at Alvernia, she was an active member of the Criminal Justice Association and Alpha Phi Sigma, which is the national honor society for Criminal Justice majors. She graduated from the Reading Police Academy in 2008 while attending college. Deputy Angstadt has been with the Berks County Sheriff's Office since graduating from college. She spent time working in court, warrants, and patrol divisions. Early is 2013, she was selected to become a member of the Berks County Sheriff's Office K-9 Division. She and her K-9 partner, Roxy, were teamed together during training at Tejas Elite Canine in San Marcos, Texas. K-9 Roxy is a two-year-old yellow lab who is certified in special scent detection and tracking. This female duo work closely with numerous correctional facilities.
