New hours for the Treasurer's Office will take effect on
July 1, 2019.
Our office will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

For your convenience, drop boxes are available at the main entrance (inside the doors prior to going through the security line) and on the 2nd floor outside of our office.  All items must be enclosed in an envelope when using the drop boxes. ​

Maximize the return of investments held by the County according to statute and required regulation.
 
Goals & Objectives
 
The goals and objectives of the Treasurer’s Office are to complete the final phase of the comprehensive computerization plan of installing a state of the art laser check printing system, the interconnections of all 72 tax collectors on an online system maintained by the County, and bulk mailing of bar code process of approximately 160,000 pieces and individual tax notices.
 
About The Department
 
The Treasurer is the custodian of the County money. He collects real estate taxes, fees and receipts to disburse all funds after authorization by the Controller and the Commissioners. This department also issues licenses for Bingo, Small Games of Chance, hunting, fishing, dogs, boats, and pistol permits (when used in conjunction with hunting and fishing). We also manage hotel tax for all hotels within the County limits.
