We are currently in the Turnover to Tax Claim Process for the 2022 Real Estate Tax Bills for unpaid taxes outstanding after 12/31/22.  

The 2023 Real Estate Tax Bills will be mailed out 3/1/23.

There are no exceptions to this policy

 We recommend mailing payments or utilizing one of our drop boxes located at the entrance to the Service Center Building (hanging on wall to right after passing through Security) or the Courthouse (right inside the main entrance, to the left before steps). Enclose your payment in an envelope with your name, phone number, and list your bill number or parcel number to ensure your account is credited accurately.

Mission Statement
Maximize the return of investments held by the County according to statute and required regulation.
Goals & Objectives
The goals and objectives of the Treasurer’s Office are to complete the final phase of the comprehensive computerization plan of installing a state of the art laser check printing system, the interconnections of all 72 tax collectors on an online system maintained by the County, and bulk mailing of bar code process of approximately 160,000 pieces and individual tax notices.
About The Department
The Treasurer is the custodian of the County money. He collects real estate taxes, fees and receipts to disburse all funds after authorization by the Controller and the Commissioners. This department also issues licenses for Bingo, Small Games of Chance, hunting, fishing, dogs, boats, and pistol permits (when used in conjunction with hunting and fishing). We also manage hotel tax for all hotels within the County limits.
