About Department
The primary function of the Youth Detention Center is to house residents who are awaiting further court action. It is the Youth Detention Center's responsibility to guarantee their appearance in court. This department is also responsible for the care, custody, and control of these incarcerated residents.
Goals & Objectives
The goals and objectives are to continue to meet the requirements set forth in DPW’s secure care and residential care guidelines governing the Youth Center’s operation, while striving to design programs to meet the individual needs of the youth in the respective programs (Detention/Prep & Immigration Family Program).
