Title

Summer Performance-Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing

Location

Gring's Mill Amphitheater

Description

Kind Claudio and fair Hero are to be married but the devious scheming plans of a resentful Prince ruin a beautiful wedding day.  Will he be able to ruin everything for the young lovers?  The solution lies with near enemies Beatrice and Benedick whose endless witty sparring threatens to keep them apart forever.  Will the earnest endeavor to restore a young romance elicit an unexpected change of heart for the effort’s unlikely collaborators as well?
Berks County Parks is delighted to partner with the Yocum Institute for Arts Education to present Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing.  Picnic with friends at Gring’s Mill and be transported to the Mediterranean province of Messina.  One of Shakespeare’s great comedies; “Much Ado about Nothing” reminds us of the failings and triumphs of the human condition in our never ending search for perfect love.
