Douglass Township is served by two ambulance companies: Boyertown Lions Community Ambulance Service covers the northern sector of the Township and Goodwill Ambulance of Pottstown covers the southern sector of the Township.

FIRE COMPANIES
The Township is served by four volunteer fire companies:

The northern sector - Boyertown Area Fire and Rescue (BAF&R)

The southern sector - Amity Fire Company and West End Fire Company.

Please donate generously to these companies.
They serve you 24 hours a day, every day of the year on a volunteer basis.

Amity Fire & Rescue Proudly Protects The Townships Of Amity, And The Southern Half Of Douglass, Located In Historic And Beautiful Berks County, Pennsylvania. Both Townships Are Mostly Rural With Several Medium Density Developments, A Combined Area Of Approximately 25 Square Miles And Population Of About 14,000. Two Major Highways Run Through Our Area, PA State Rt. 422, A Four Lane High Volume Artery And PA State Rt. 662. Calls Presently Average 400+ Per Year.
