Christmas Parade & Children's Party - Saturday, December 20th!
Come join the fun!  The Kenhorst Volunteer Fire Co. will be hosting their annual Christmas Parade and Children's Party on Saturday, December 20th.  The Parade begins at 1 PM from the Kenhorst Shopping Plaza - see the attached parade route.  Fire trucks will carry many children's favorite cartoon and holiday characters and the man himself, Santa Claus!!

The parade ends at approximately 2 PM at the KVFC Social Quarters where there will be a Christmas party for the borough children and their families.

Many thanks to the Christmas Parade and Party sponsors: KVFC, KVFC Ladies Auxilary, Kenhorst Borough Council and many participating Kenhorst merchants and businesses.  Members of the Kenhorst Neighborhood Watch group will also be participating in the parade - thank you for your involvement!
Winter Newsletter Mailed
The 2014/2015 Winter Newsletter was mailed the week of 12/12.  Please take a few minutes to review the articles and helpful information.

The mailing included a flyer regarding this Saturday's Christmas Parade and Children's Party.  Also included was the 2015 Real Registry Form.  Residents and owners of rental properties are asked to return the registry form not later than Monday, February 2, 2015.

AUTHORITIES ADVISE: BE AWARE OF TELEPHONE SCAMS!New
Kenhorst residents should be aware of recent reports of increased telephone scam activity.  Please see the link to today's Reading Eagle article for more information.

Winter Weather Reminders
The Mayor will declare a Snow Emergency when a storm is predicted to exceed 3 inches.  In a declared Snow Emergency, all Snow Emergency routes will restrict parking per Ordinance #433.  Plowing on the emergency routes is conducted curb to curb.  The emergency routes are New Holland Road, South Kenhorst Boulevard, Columbia Avenue, High Boulevard and Upland Avenue.  Please have a plan as to where you will park your car in advance of a predicted snow event.

Plowing will begin at 3 inch snow depth.  After the snow stops, intersections will be cleared and storm drains opened provided there is room to get equipment in safely.  Please be patient - the public works crew will work to clear all roads but the first priority is to clear the emergency routes.

Property owners are required to remove snow and ice from adjacent sidewalks within 12 hours after a storm and are asked to keep fire hydrants clear.  Residents who cast snow onto the street will be cited, "No Exceptions".
