* GARBAGE pick up is every Wednesday and Saturday, RECYCLING every other Wednesday

SPRING and FALL Clean-Ups typically occur the first Saturday of May and the first Saturday of October each year.  Clean-Up dates are advertised in the Reading Eagle, are noted on the quarterly water/trash and sewer bills, and will appear on this website.

2014 FALL CLEAN-UP is Saturday, October 4

The Berks County Solid Waste Authority has a fulltime Electronic Waste collection center located at 1316 Hilltop Road, in Bern Township.  The center is open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.  Other times and days are available by appointment.  The Authority charges $1.00 per item and $5 to $10 for televisions for institutions/businesses.  Residential - no fees apply.
