Welcome to the Mohnton Community
Berks County > Municipalities > Mohnton Borough

Mohnton Borough Council and our staff want to welcome you to the Borough of Mohnton. We want to thank you for selecting our community as your new home. Mohnton is a caring community that is a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family. While Mohnton is a small community, it offers access to the amenities of a large urban environment. It is located within the award winning Govern Mifflin School District and also offers easy freeway access to major cities such as Reading, Harrisburg, Allentown, and Philadelphia while maintaining a small town community feel.

The Borough of Mohnton was initially formed in 1907 and has a rich history of milling, gun-making, and wool hat manufacturing. Mohnton is also the home of the historic C.D. Hornberger Carriage, Wheelwright, & Blacksmith shop. This historic building is in the process of being restored to its full grandeur and is distinguished by the presence of an example of a fine doctor’s carriage on the roof cupola which is visible from the Mohnton community park and ball field. For additional historical information about Mohnton, please visit www.mohntonpa.com.

The Mohnton community park boasts one of the finest baseball fields in the area. The park is also home to the “Magic of Mohnton” that is the envy of other municipalities. The park is also the home of a walking trail, picnic area, volleyball & basketball courts, a pavilion, and an outdoor auditorium. Throughout the year, the playground and auditorium host numerous public concerts, picnics, and various events.

Below is a copy of the most recent Mohnton Navigator, which is our annual newsletter. Within its pages you will find information about your new community, a telephone directory for the Borough government, local religious organizations, and community groups. For more information browse Mohnton's official website.
