The Borough of Mohnton was initially formed in 1907 and has a rich history of milling, gun-making, and wool hat manufacturing. Mohnton is also the home of the historic C.D. Hornberger Carriage, Wheelwright, & Blacksmith shop. This historic building is in the process of being restored to its full grandeur and is distinguished by the presence of an example of a fine doctor’s carriage on the roof cupola which is visible from the Mohnton community park and ball field.
