2014 Joint Citizen Police Academy - The Muhlenberg Township Police Department is once again teaming with the Bern Township Police Department and the Northern Berks Regional Police Department to present the 2014 Joint Citizen Police Academy (CPA).
The CPA is a collaborative effort of our police departments to provide our residents an inside look at the workings of the police departments. CPA attendees will experience, through lecture and hands on activities, what the daily life and duties of police officers include. CPA attendees will also learn the how various aspects of our legal system work.
The CPA is open to all residents of Bern, Muhlenberg and Ontelaunee Townships and Leesport Borough. CPA Attendees must be 18 years of age or older and pass a background check to be accepted into the class. Class size is limited. Eligible applications will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. This is a FREE event.
The 2014 Joint Citizen Police Academy starts on Wednesday, February 12th and runs every Wednesday for eight weeks. Classes will be held at the Berks County Intermediate Unit at 1111 Commons Blvd. in Muhlenberg Township from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
To apply for the CPA, please download the CPA Application Form and return it to Sgt. Joel Marino at Muhlenberg Twp. Police Department. 5401 Leesport Ave. Temple, Pa. 19560; or email@example.com. Additionally, applications may dropped off at the Muhlenberg Township Police Offices, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. DEADLINE for application is January 31, 2014.
