Muhlenberg Rail Trail

Our rail trail will see some exciting changes in the next few months as contractors work to fine grade and pave the surface. After several years of planning, the Township will be able to complete the work with federal funding. This paving project will include the entire length of the trail with at least one trailhead for parking. It will also include some updated signs and benches along the way. This trail is being actively used by many of our residents and we want to caution you that portions of the trail - if not the whole trail - will be closed during construction.

We want to again thank those of you who continually clean up litter and place it in bags. This effort helps to beautify this great trail while keeping it clean for other users. Thank you. Look for these improvements next year and keep on walking, jogging and biking!

Temple Playground Community Build Project:

A special thanks to Berks County natives and current NFL stars John Gilmore and Chad Henne. Their foundation was the catalyst to fund this great park renovation. In case you haven’t had a chance to check it out, we were able to add two basketball courts, a multi-purpose court, playground, landscaping, fresh paint and some park benches.

This project is a testament to what a community can do if enough people get together in unity. Several local business, school athletic teams and service organizations came together with labor and funding. A special thanks goes out to the Temple Recreation Association, Muhlenberg Athletic Association and Geissler Tree Farms for their generous donations.

Thank you all for your time and effort before, during and continually in the future. Please help protect this park...it is here for your recreation and leisure enjoyment!
