A Volunteer Fire Company
Gibraltar relies strictly on donations from our community. We hold several fundraisers each year to keep all of our equipment serviced and up to date. On the third weekend of each month we hold a chicken BBQ or a hoagie sale. Twice a year we have a boot drive on Main Street (Route 724) and Gibraltar Road. We mail out (to residents) a coin card for donations to be mailed back to the fire company. Our biggest event is the carnival which is held once a year on our grounds. This year we are selling reflective address signs for your mailbox so emergency personnel can better find your house in the event of an emergency. We also have for sale tee shirts and hats.
All of our fundraisers benefit the truck crew of Gibraltar Fire Company. The donations go to upgrading and maintaining equipment. Our goal this year is to raise enough money to purchase one or two new trucks ( a rescue pumper and a pumper tanker), at an approximate cost of $700,000.
Be sure to check out our message board in front of the firehouse for upcoming events. We hope to see you there!
