James R. Oxenreider, Patrolman joxenreider@sinkingspringpd.org

Off. Oxenreider was hired as a full-time police officer for the Borough of Sinking Spring in 2000.  He is a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and the Reading Police Academy.  Off. Oxenreider attended Penn State University-Berks Campus, Albright College, and obtained an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Reading Area Community College in 1992.  He is also an instructor for First Aid, CPR and AED for the Red Cross.  Officer Oxenreider currently works the 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM shift for the police department.

Off. William Skelton, Patrolman wskelton@sinkingspringpd.org

Off. Skelton was hired as a full-time police officer for the Borough of Sinking Spring in 2003. Prior to that time, he had been employed as a part-time officer for the Borough of Sinking Spring for two years. Off. Skelton has also been employed by the Womelsdorf and Robesonia Police Departments. Off. Skelton is a graduate of Conrad Weiser High School. Officer Skelton is a trained evidence technician and certified range master.  He is also certified in taser instruction and training.  Off. Skelton currently works the 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shift for the police department.

Officer Matthew Yatsko, Patrol Officer myatsko@sinkingspringpd.org

Off. Yatsko was hired as a full-time police officer for the Borough of Sinking Spring in 2007.  He had previously worked for the Amity Township Police Department and the Royersford Police Department.  Off. Yatsko graduated from Pottstown High School, and served in the US Army from 1999-2003.  Off. Yatsko currently works the 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM shift for the police department.

Officer Travis Fritz, Patrol Officer tfritz@sinkingspringpd.org

Off. Fritz was hired as a full-time police officer for the Borough of Sinking Spring in 2008.  Prior to that, he had worked with the Hamburg Police Department.  Off. Fritz is a graduate of Hamburg High School, and is active in the Marine Reserves.  Off. Fritz is a sworn Berks County Detective through the District Attorney's Office.  Off. Fritz currently works the 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM shift for the police department.

Officer David Church, Patrol Officer dchurch@sinkingspringpd.org

Officer David Church was hired as a full-time officer with the Borough of Sinking Spring on March 1, 2012.  He had previously been working part-time since September of 2011He is a veteran of the United States Navy, having served from 2005 to 2010.  During that time, he served three years with the Second Marine Expeditionary Force and an additional year in the Middle East where he served as a Tactical Commander assigned to the US Navy's 5th Fleet.  During that time, he received training from Academ, previously known as Blackwater USA, and attended training at FLETC in Glenco, GA.  He is a graduate of Glenbard East High School in Lombard, IL and the Reading Police Academy.  Officer Church currently works the 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM shift for the police department.

Officer Matthew Planer, Patrol Officer Part-Time

Officer Planer has been a part-time officer with the Borough of Sinking Spring since 1997. Off. Planer previously worked with the Centre Township Police Department and the South Heidelberg Township Police Department. He is currently employed full-time with the Western Berks Regional Police Department. He is a graduate of Wilson High School and has attended Penn State University-Berks Campus and is a graduate of the Reading Police Academy. Off. Planer is a certified range master.

Gregory Harwell, Patrol Officer Part-Time

Off. Harwell was hired as a part time police officer with the Borough of Sinking Spring in July 2011, after retiring from the Reading Police Department after 20 years of service.  During his time with Reading Police, he trained as a Field Evidence Technician, ESP Operator, and served those years in Patrol.  He also worked part time with Wernersville and South Heidelburg Police Departments.  He graduated from Boyertown High School and served full time in the US Marine Corps, and was in Active Marine Reserve as a Military Police Officer, also serving in the Army National Guard.  Off. Harwell graduated from the Montgomery County Police Academy.

James Demsko, Patrol Officer Part-Time

Officer Demsko was hired as a part time officer with the Borough of Sinking Spring in July 2011.  He is currently employed as a full time police officer with the City of Reading.  Officer Demsko performs the duties of Patrol Officer and Major Crimes Evidence Technician for Reading Police.  He was previously employed as an officer for the Berks County Prison and was a member of BCP's Emergency Response Team.  Officer Demsko graduated from Wilson High School and is a Veteran of the US Army MP Corps.

Robert Atkins, Patrol Officer Part-Time

Off. Atkins was hired as a part time police officer with the Borough of Sinking Spring in June 2011.  He is currently employed as a full time officer with the Borough of Laureldale.  Off. Atkins is a trained evidence technician, and has worked as a part time police officer with the Borough of Womelsdorf Police Department.  Off. Atkins is a graduate of Fleetwood High School and the Reading Police Academy.

Marc Oxenford, Patrol Officer Part-Time

Off. Oxenford was hired as a part time police officer with the Borough of Sinking Spring in April 2013.  He is a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, Widener University, and both the Eastern Shore and Reading Police Academies.  Off. Oxenford began his career with the Ocean City, Maryland Police Department.  Off. Oxenford is also employed by the Mohnton and West Reading Police Departments.
