Snow Emergency Routes
 
Ordinance 184-28-A-B
 
The following roads have been designated as Snow Emergency Routes:
 
         Penn Avenue
         Woodrow Avenue
         Mull Avenue
         Columbia Avenue
         Shillington Road
 
During a snow emergency, no person shall park a motor vehicle or tractor or to allow the same to remain parked on any of the above highways during the snow emergency.
 
In addition, it shall be unlawful to operate a motor vehicle or tractor upon such highway or portion thereof named above unless such vehicle or tractor is equipped with adequate equipment (snow tires or chains) to provide sufficient traction to keep such vehicle or tractor in motion so that the highway will not be blocked.
 
Parking During Snow and Ice Events
 
Ordinance 184-27-A
 
During the course of any snowfall with accumulations in excess of two (2) inches, parking shall be prohibited on the un-even-numbered (house numbers) side of all Borough streets until such time as plowing is completed on the un-even side of the street.
 
Ordinance 184-27-B
 
After 8:00 AM of the day following any snowstorm, parking shall be prohibited on the even-numbered side of all Borough streets and on Vester Place completely until such time as plowing has been completed.
 
Note: THERE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A SNOW EMERGENCY DECLARED FOR THIS ORDINANCE TO TAKE EFFECT.
