Berks County > Municipalities > Upper Tulpehocken Township

Emergency Management has come to the forefront since September 11, 2001.  Our township constantly updates our Emergency Operation Manual and continues to search for ways to enhance our Emergency Management program.  The township's Emergency Management system would be utilized if there were a natural disaster or manmade disaster to occur within our township. In 2013, the Township and Strausstown Borough signed an agreement to create one Joint Emergency Management Agency.

Current Joint Emergency Management Agency:

Council Members

Shirley Adam, Upper Tulpehocken Township Supervisor

Dwain Schlappich, Strausstown Borough Council Member

Joint Emergency Management Coordinator

Russell Yerger

Emergency Management Deputies

Robert Deisemann, Upper Tulpehocken Township

Dwain Schlappich, Strausstown Borough
