THE SHARTLESVILLE LIONS CLUB IS PART OF THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LIONS CLUBS FOUNDED IN 1917 AND IS NOW THE LARGEST COMMUNITY SERVICE ORGANIZATION IN THE WORLD.

OUR CLUB WAS CHARTERED IN 1952 AND PRESENTLY HAS 30 MEMBERS. OUR MOTTO: "WE SERVE"

 WELCOME NEW MEMBERS!  WE MEET THE 1ST AND 3RD MONDAY OF THE MONTH AT THE BLUE MOUNTAIN RESTAURANT LOCATED AT 24 ROADSIDE DRIVE, SHARTLESVILLE, PA 19554, AT 6:30 P.M., IN THEIR BANQUET ROOM.  HERE ARE WAYS WE HELP THE COMMUNITY:

 PROVIDE FREE USE OF MEDICAL EQUIPEMENT.

 COLLECT FOOD FOR THE LOCAL FOOD PANTRY SUPPORT LOCAL FIRE VICTIMS AND THE HAMBURG HIGH SCHOOL LEO CLUB ( a Lions Club for youth).

 COLLECT FOR THE SALVATION ARMY BY RINGING THE BELLS DURING CHRISTMAS SEASON. PROVIDE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS FOR SHARTLESVILLE MAIN STREET.

 SUPPORT BEACON LODGE, A PENNSYLVANIA CAMPING FACILITY FOR CHALLENGED ADULTS, TEENS AND ARMY VETERANS.

 SUPPORT LEADER DOG IN MICHIGAN WHICH PROVIDES GUIDE DOGS.

PROVIDE FUNDS FOR MANY CHARITIES INVOLVED IN RESEARCH TO IMPROVE THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL WELL-BEING OF PEOPLE IN NEED.

 COLLECT USED EYEGLASSES (RECEPTACLE AT SHARTLESVILLE POST OFFICE AND BB&T IN BERNVILLE)

 NEW AND USED POSTAGE STAMPS FOR VETERANS' THERAPY, AND SODA CAN TABS THAT ARE RECYCLED TO PROVIDE CARE AND ASSISTANCE TO PEOPLE IN NEED.

 SUPPORT DELAWARE VALLEY EYE BANK.

 CONTRIBUTE TO DISASTER RELIEF AROUND THE WORLD

FUNDRAISERS INCLUDE: BINGO AT MT. SPRINGS CAMPGROUND (SPRING THROUGH FALL), COUNTRY LINE DANCES AT SHARTLESVILLE GRANGE THE 1 ST AND 3 RD FRIDAY, 7:30 TO 10:30, AND SPRING CHICKEN BARBECUE AT THE SHARTLESVILLE PARK.

MEMBERSHIP DUES ARE $32 ANNUALLY AND $16 FOR SECOND OR THIRD MEMBER OF HOUSEHOLD.
