The Zoning Hearing Board has those functions authorized in the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as amended. The Board's primary function is to conduct public hearings and make decisions as to granting or denying variances and/or special exceptions from the terms of the Borough of Wyomissing Zoning Ordinance.
 
The Board consists of three Borough residents. Members serve a three year term and are appointed by Borough Council. The Assistant Borough Manager/Zoning Officer and the Borough's Administrative Assistant/Zoning Secretary serve as Borough representatives on the Board. The Board also retains a Zoning Hearing Board Solicitor.
 
The Zoning Hearing Board meets on the third Tuesday of every month at the Borough Hall.
