To all Elected Officials, Department Heads, and County Employees including Courts:

In response to the current weather conditions, the Commissioners and the President Judge have invoked Liberal Leave effective Thursday, September 08, 2011, for all County and Court employees.

It is important that all Department Heads review the Liberal Leave Policy with their employees. While it is important to have County operations open for business, employee safety is equally important.

Liberal Leave means that all County Offices will remain open; any questions please refer to Sec. 9.5 “Liberal Leave Policy” of the County Human Resources Manual.

Please note that all employees in 24 hour facilities should follow their own emergency procedures.
