Agriculture is Everyone's Business!

Agriculture is Berks County's #1 industry and
serves as the backbone of the Berks County community.
Agriculture has long shaped Berks County's identity and quality of life and, therefore, has been a vital component to the regional economy.  This way of life is under constant threat from urban sprawl and population pressures.  Our website will enable you to learn what you can do to help preserve agriculture as a way of life in Berks County.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Berks County Agricultural Land Preservation Board to permanently preserve large clusters of viable agricultural lands by acquiring agricultural conservation easements (ACE).

An ACE prevents the development of the land for any purpose besides productive agriculture.
