The Constables of Berks County work together with local law enforcement officials in fighting crime. Our Constables are locally elected officials who provide vital services to Berks County and their local community. Services include prisoner transport, warrant service and civil process service. Professional service is achieved through ongoing training administered by the PA Commission on Crime and Delinquency.

Hooky gets the hook
Brianna Charron had missed nine days of school. The 15-year-old Reading ninth-grader said she was depressed and couldn't bring herself to face the mean girls who confronted her at the Citadel intermediate high school every day. Then she heard about something called the 30-Day Watch program and now she's going to school every day and getting the therapy she needs for her depression.
Her mother, Shannon Boyer, said the program was a godsend.

are to be taken to the Berks Courthouse to
the "on Duty" Constable and MDJ
Constables Recertified with Tazers
A training and recertification class was held in November for Constables. Berks Constables were recertified in the proper use and deployment of the Tazer to decrease injuries to the offender and the officer. The class was held at the West Reading Fire Department and was sponsored by the Pa State Constables local Chapter #6
