The Constables of Berks County work together with local law enforcement officials in fighting crime. Our Constables are locally elected officials who provide vital services to Berks County and their local community. Services include prisoner transport, warrant service and civil process service. Professional service is achieved through ongoing training administered by the PA Commission on Crime and Delinquency.
Constables Recertified with Tazers
A training and recertification class was held in November for Constables. Berks Constables were recertified in the proper use and deployment of the Tazer to decrease injuries to the offender and the officer. The class was held at the West Reading Fire Department and was sponsored by the Pa State Constables local Chapter #6.
