Community Day October 2, 2010
 
 
Come and join in for the first annual Douglass Berks Community Day
The event will be held at the Township building at 1068 Douglass Drive with a fun filled schedule starting at 9:00 am and ending at 2:00 pm.  The first event of the day is a 5K run and a 2 mile walk through the community, starting at the townwhip building.  Plans are still being finalized by the Park and Recreation Board, with the tenative schedule including:

5K Run              2 Mile Walk        Community Yard Sale   

Police K9 Demonstration         Moon Bounce

Games           Food           Local Fire Companies Displays
 
Local Businesses and Churches       Antique Fire Trucks        Music
                 
 The purpose of the Community Day is to celebrate the fellowship
of the township residents and all that our township has to offer.  
 
We look forward to seeing you at the Douglass Township Community Day on October 2nd

HUNTING ON LAND OWNED BY DOUGLASS TOWNSHIP

2010

 

Hunting will be allowed on the approximate 82 acres of Goose Run Park, which can be accessed from Goose Run Road or Levengood Road.

 

Hunting will also be allowed on the approximate 74 acres owned by the Township located in the area of 900 Douglass Drive known as lot #1 and #3.

 

All hunters must be registered with the Township; provide a copy of their PA State Hunting License and sign a form agreeing to abide by the State Laws as well as Douglass Township Rules.

 

All hunting allowed will be from September 18, 2010 through January 29, 2011 and in accordance with all State Game Commission Rules and Regulations.  It must be understood that the use of rifles is strictly prohibited.

 

The hiking trail at Goose Run Park will remain open, potential hikers will be notified by signs at both entrances, the Township Newsletter and Website:
