Summary of slides delivered to the Board of County Commissioners on May 13, 2010
Draft Desired Propagation {PDF}
Map showing direction provided to Kimball for signal strength required across the county (1.5 MB). This map requires significant panning and zooming to see street level detail.
Draft Propagation From Conceptual Sites (2.75 MB File Warning) {PDF} (NEW 062910)
Maps showing 22 conceptual sites that would deliver the propagation demanded by the county. Note that the four maps shown represent at street coverage, 8dB structure, 12 dB structure, and 20 dB structure.
Areas that are black represent unreliable or no signal. Areas that are orange represent signal that is present and usable, but below the audio quality threshold required by the county. Any others areas have demanded signal level at demanded quality.
This mapping DOES NOT show where actual tower sites will be built. Some of these locations will likely be determined to be unusable. Final site locations will be determined in conjunction with the successful vendor.
It is representative to show the quality of signal that can be achieved with a system design based on the draft desired propagation submitted by DES and provided by 22 sites.
