  • Hurricane Ida Damage​​
    The Berks County Department of Emergency Services is reminding residents with properties that were damaged during Hurricane Ida to report that damage to their local government office.  This type of information is critical for the assessment that helps our community obtain assistance from our state and federal emergency management partners.  More information here >

    Interested in starting a career with the County of Berks? The County is hosting a Career Fair on Thursday, September 16, from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Berks County Agricultural Center, 1238 County Welfare Road, Leesport.  Learn more: Event Flyer
  • ​IMAGINE Berks kickoff
    The County of Berks has launched the planning process for IMAGINE Berks, a new economic development strategic action plan for Berks County.  The 8-month process will include listening tours, community discussions and data to craft a plan to guide the County's economic development efforts for the next five years.

  • ​Tri-County Rail Committee
    The Berks County Commissioners have pledged their support for pursuing the restoration of passenger rail service in Berks, Chester and Montgomery counties. Three Berks County representatives -- Commissioner Christian Leinbach, Deputy CAO Pamela Shupp Menet and GRCA President and CEO Jim Gerlach -- are part of a Tri-County Rail Committee that meets frequently to help move the project forward.
