Mission Statement: The Berks County Parks & Recreation Department is charged with the development, operation, and maintenance of all the County-owned Parks, recreation facilities, and historic sites. The Department is responsible for providing recreational opportunities as well as addressing the interpretive and educational needs as related to these facilities.
Welcome to Berks County's beautiful park system. We have 9 parks for you to visit and enjoy, including Gring's Mill Recreation Area, the Union Canal Walking & Bicycle Trail, Antietam Lake and the Berks County Heritage Center. (
No Pets allowed, except Antietam Lake- See ALL Rules & Regulations.) We offer recreation and educational programs year-round. Whether you enjoy summer concerts in the park, festivals or historical programs, we have something for everyone of all ages!
Please be advised that the Angora Rd. Parking Lot/Trail Head, the Mudcatcher Parking Lot/Trail Head on Angora Rd., and Seidel Road Parking Lot/Trail Head projects have all been COMPLETED.
