Borough Manager

 The Borough of West Reading, a Main Street community in Berks County, Pennsylvania is seeking a Borough Manager to be responsible for the administration of a full range of municipal services.  A four-year degree in public administration, business administration, human resource management, or closely related field and experience preferred with a minimum of five years of progressive supervisory experience.  This position requires knowledge and demonstrated experience in administration, financial management, grant writing, community relations, and employee supervision.  West Reading has thirty-two full-time, five part-time, and thirty summer seasonal employees serving a population of 4,049.  Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.  EOE/M/D/V

Attention residents and business owners:
 
If you have a fire hydrant located in front of your property, please be of assistance to the fire department by shoveling out the fire hydrant so it can be easily accessible in the event of an emergency.
 
Also, if you are unable to shovel out your fire hydrant due to health related reasons, please call borough hall so we can arrange to have someone take care of it for you.
 

 
West Reading Borough Council is currently looking to fill two volunteer positions:
 
- Zoning Hearing Board (alternate)
- Planning Commission
 
Borough residents who are interested in serving on either Board/Commission are aksed to submit a letter of interest to the Borough Manager.
