The Children’s Alliance Center (CAC) is located on the 15th floor of the Berks County Services Center at 633 Court St., Reading, Pa. 19601.

The Children’s Alliance Center provides forensic interviews for potential sexual abuse victims. Requests for an interview are made by law enforcement or Children and Youth Services as part of an official child sexual and physical abuse investigation. The interview is conducted by a trained interviewer in a child-friendly atmosphere.
Law enforcement and/or Children and Youth Services will speak with you. They might also request a medical exam and a mental health evaluation for your child.
No, the forensic interview is completed free of charge.
Yes. There is a parking garage below the County Services Center off of Reed Street. Sign in with Security and they will give you a visitor parking pass for Level B in the Garage. Take elevator to the first floor, go through security, and then take those elevators to the 15th floor.
Interviews can take 1 to 1.5 hours. Each child is different which can affect how long they need. Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to complete paperwork.
No, referrals are accepted only from law enforcement and Children and Youth Services.
No, protocol is that only the child and interviewer are present in the interview room. The interview is observed from a different room by the law enforcement and Children and Youth Services caseworkers.
Yes. When we call you to schedule an interview and upon arrival, we will ask you some COVID-related screening questions. All visitors are required to wear a mask. Your temperature will be checked by security upon arrival at the building. Only one adult can accompany the child to our office. We sanitize each room after families leave.
