CHARGES: Sexual Abuse of
Children related to the Dissemination and Possession of Child Pornography (F2) and Criminal
Use of a Communications Facility (F3).
DETAILS OF INCIDENT:
On Thursday, June 24, 2021, the Berks County
Detective’s Office received a complaint from the National Center for Missing
and Exploited Children (N.C.M.E.C.), involving file sharing of child pornography
utilizing the internet/web application “Google.”
The Berks County Detectives learned that an
individual uploaded numerous digital videos of suspected child pornography to a
“Google” account in April and May of 2021.
Detectives identified the aforementioned “Google”
account as being in the name of “Kilvio Guzman Figueroa.” Additionally, they determined
that the I.P. addresses utilized to upload these digital files of child
pornography to the target “Google” account were from a Comcast Cable
Communications account in the name of “Kilvio Guzman”, 826 N 11th
Street, Reading, PA 19604.
On Thursday, September 16, 2021, the Berks
County Detective’s Office executed a search warrant at 826 N 11th
Street, Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania 19604. Several electronic devices
were seized during the service of this search warrant and the defendant did knowingly
admit that he received images of child pornography that were inadvertently
uploaded to his “Google” account.
Later, a forensic analysis was conducted on the
electronic devices seized from the defendant’s residence. As a result, numerous
digital files (images and videos) of child pornography were recovered from two
of his devices.
On Tuesday, May 24, 2022, the defendant was
taken into custody by members of the Berks County Detectives.
The defendant was transported to the Central
Processing Center located at the Berks County Courthouse where he was fingerprinted and photographed. The defendant was arraigned and bail was set at $10,000 and posted on May 24, 2022.
