DETAILS OF INCIDENT:
On February 4, 2019, the Colebrookdale Police Department received a complaint which involved the sexual assault of a fifteen-year-old female.
The Colebrookdale Police Department referred the case to the Berks County Detective’s Office for further investigation.
The Berks County Detective’s Office initiated a criminal investigation, which yielded the following information:
During the forensic interview at the Children’s Alliance Center, the victim disclosed that she had sexual intercourse with the defendant, who she positively identified as Ezekiel Matthias Outterbridge. She recalled the specific dates, locations and details of three separate sexual encounters with the defendant.
The victim specifically recalled the offenses occurred between July and November 2018.
The defendant would have been twenty-one years old at the time of these offenses.
On all three occasions, the defendant picked-up the fifteen-year-old victim at her Boyertown, Pennsylvania, residence and traveled outside of Berks County. The victim reported the offenses occurred at (1) a park in Pottstown, (2) a wooded area in West Pottsgrove, both in Montgomery County, and (3) a residence in East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County.
Also, detectives learned that the defendant disseminated photographs and videos, which were sexually explicit, to the victim’s cellular telephone.
On May 15, 2020, detectives filed criminal charges against the defendant, Ezekiel Outterbridge, at Magisterial District Judge Michael Hartman’s Office.
M.D.J. Hartman issued an arrest warrant for the defendant.
On May 18, 2020, the defendant was arraigned and bail was set at $150,000 unsecured bail. Therefore, the defendant remains free on bail awaiting further court action.
As in every criminal case, the fact that an arrest occurred or a complaint has been filed is merely an accusation, and the defendant Ezekiel Outterbridge, is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
