Agriculture has been foundational to our economy and is key to our cultural heritage in Berks County. The Berks County Department of Agriculture is committed to supporting the economic viability of our agricultural systems - from suppliers to farmers to processors and consumers. We do this through partnering with agricultural organizations, promoting buy local initiatives, being a hub for agricultural resources, and developing stronger links between farmers, suppliers, processors and consumers.
